Nurturing your body and soul

Grace Church has a variety of programs and opportunities that help us to grow as Children of God. Some of the opportunities for growth are found : at our midweek Holy Eucharist and Bible Study, at the Tuesday evening Yoga for Christians Class, singing in one of the choirs, or participating in Sunday School or new member classes.

We also come to know Christ though service to others.

Food stamps don't cover most cleaning products or personal hygiene needs. Christ Church in Belleville is in need of items for their Care Closet. Donations of personal care/hygiene products (or monetary donations) are welcome. Volunteers are needed to assist at the Care Closet once a month.

Bring non-perishables for the food barrel in the narthex. We help to stock the food pantry at St. Peter's Church in Clifton . Put a few extra things in your shopping cart and help to put a meal on the table for someone in need.

All of God's creatures need care. Remember the shelter animals with donations of clean towels and pet food. All donations go to the Bloomfield Animal Shelter.

On your way to church, pick up someone who can no longer drive.

On your way home, drop off a bouquet of flowers from the altar to some one who is sick or shut-in.

Put on your apron and help cook or serve a meal at the Martha and Mary Soup Kitchen at Christ Church in Belleville. Local houses of worship take turns shopping and preparing meal for people in need. Grace Church serves lunch the fourth Saturday of the month.

IHN-Interfaith Hospitality Network - spend a night helping at the shelter. Grace Church shares the responsibility with Christ Church, in housing homeless families. People are needed to spend the night in the shelter or cook for approximately 10 people.

Join the Prison Ministry Bible Study team. Once a week a group of trained volunteers from various churches in the Diocese teach a Bible Study class at Northern State Prison. Speak to the clergy for more information.

Interested? Talk to the Rector , sign up in the narthex, or call the church office.
